The international perfume company PUIG is responsible for the fragrance line bearing the name of Brazilian actress Juliana Paes and for the launch of the roll-on version of the Juliana Paes – Essence perfume.
It was developing a compact display that could store multiple units for the launch of the roll-on perfume. The focus was on promoting the product in department stores and speciality luxury perfume shops.
I researched the restrictions and challenges at different display points, available areas, and the public’s interaction with existing displays. I found that spaces were limited, so I developed a countertop display with storage for 24 units to optimise costs. The display transformed into the product’s transportation box, reducing the packaging needed. Additionally, manual illustrations enabled the salesperson to learn how to assemble the display in the store.
The packaging design provided PUIG with multiple benefits, including optimized functionality and space efficiency, ensuring a compact display that stored 24 units while fitting within the constraints of luxury perfume retail spaces. By integrating the display into the transportation box, the solution reduced packaging costs and reinforced a sustainable brand image. The addition of manual illustrations for easy in-store assembly enhanced the user experience for sales staff, streamlining product setup. Moreover, the visually appealing and strategically designed display elevated the brand’s presence at the point of sale, strengthening its premium positioning and making the Juliana Paes – Essence perfume more attractive to consumers.
