The Islands of Rio Project (PIR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and environmental education to preserve the Cagarras Islands ecosystem in Rio de Janeiro. It achieves this by developing educational content involving professionals from various fields.
Challenge
“Muralhada” is an animated series that follows the journey of four friends residing in the Cagarras Islands as they confront challenges associated with environmental degradation. The Didactic Guide aims to facilitate audience interaction by utilizing the animations within an educational context.
Solution
The e-book is an environmental education tool for schools in Rio de Janeiro. It is designed for teachers to access via mobile or desktop, depending on the resources available at each school. Additionally, it has a PDF version for printing. The links created to access the videos have been shortened for convenience. The use of iconography also aids in quickly understanding the necessary actions.
Result
The material has become playful, educational, and interactive, with a clear and concise structure to aid children’s environmental education.
